An engine for growth, a challenge for European policy
The European Commission and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation organised the 2nd European Conference on Corporate R&D (CONCORD-2010), focusing on Corporate R&D – An engine for growth, a challenge for European policy on 3rd – 4th March 2010 in Seville / Spain.
The five thematic strands of the conference were:
- R&D and its impact on company performance
- Collaborating in corporate R&D: Empirical evidence, trajectories, and impact on innovativeness
- R&D and internationalisation: Does location matter?
- Financing corporate R&D
- Supporting corporate R&D
The event was organised by the JRC's Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) and the Spanish Centre for Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) under the auspices of the Spanish Presidency of the EU Council and also formed part of the Industrial Research Monitoring Analysis (IRMA) activities of the European Commission's Directorates Joint Research Centre (JRC) and Research (RTD).
Over 200 people participated in the academic forum on the first day, and more than 500 attended the practitioners' and policy makers' forum on the second Conference day.
