Conferences on Corporate R&D (CONCORD)

CONCORD conferences provide a platform for discussion on how research can support evidence-based policy making in the area of private R&D and innovation investments. By bringing together in a bi-annual cycle the research community, private sector representatives and policy makers, existing knowledge on the topic is shared and discussed and new emerging issues and topics are explored in view of developing new shared research agendas. The conferences also offer the opportunity to present to a wide audience the work and results of the Industrial Research and Innovation (IRI) scientific action.

Two Conferences have been held to date; the first on "Knowledge for Growth: Role and Dynamics of Corporate R&D" held in October 2007, and the second themed "Corporate R&D – An engine for growth, a challenge for European policy", held in March 2010. The next Concord Conference is planned for mid-2011.
